I was 48 years old when I decided to become a Naturopathic Doctor. As they say "You are never to old to learn." Now I am retired from having an office but I still do the occasional house call and seem to talk allot on the phone.
I love to read and share what I am learning with anyone who will listen so this web site is for that purpose. Sharing!
I've also done some reading about exercising and discovered that some of the ancient peoples incorporated some interesting techniques only recently discovered by the Russians in the 1980's.
They used some of this knowledge in their space program to help their cosmonauts fair better in their space travels. Our astronauts didn't do so well and often returned home weak and exhausted with bone loss and little muscle. Their mental state wasn't much better. Then I get phone calls, from time to time, with people asking about many of the "Hot topics" of the month. So I am going to include a page with that information and much more.
I'm taking another class. It's about Functional Medicine. Teaching how the body is supposed to work. It isn't about disease but about health. Sure we discuss health problems as we look for answers to figure out what has gone wrong. Kind of like a CSI investigator.
I will be doing presentations on many different subjects and have just finished working on one that talks about how "Sugar is Killing Us." Yes it is posted on the "Hot Topics" page.
Then there is the Shiatsu-Pal. A simple device that I invented so you can reach those spots in your back that always seem to flare up when you least expect them. Shiatsu is a Japanese word that means finger pressure. With your shiatsu-pal you can put the pressure on any spot you can't reach with your fingers. What a relief it is to finally stop the ache. Food Pulse Testing is helping me to identify those foods that are causing stress in my body. Stress is one of the ways your body keeps elevated sugar levels. I'm diabetic and don't need stress messing with my blood sugar levels. More on this as I finish my research.
