Red eyes! We've all experienced them after a night out on the town or a long stressful day.
The white part of the eye, the sclera, changes all the time. We see red blood vessels, blue colors, even black lines at times. Yellow is not uncommon to see under the right conditions.
This part of the eye can provide some hints about the areas of stress in your body as a result of your lifestyle.
Picture the eye like the face of a clock. You have 12 o'clock at the top & 6 o'clock at the bottom of the eye. Then 3 o'clock is straight out to the side on the left eye & straight towards the middle on the right eye as you look into a mirror.
OH! By the way this viewing or reading of the lines & colors in the whites of the eyes is called Sclerology. A system developed to provide information about the health conditions within your body.
Well back to the face of the clock.

Well back to the face of the clock.
As you look in the mirror you see your eyes.
When you pull your eye lid up you can see the top of your eye. The 12 o'clock position & surrounding areas.
Pull down on the lower eyelid & you see the 6 o'clock position & surrounding areas.
As you look to one side you see the 9 o'clock or 3 o'clock position depending which eye you are looking at.
As you get used to seeing the whites of your eye you begin to see the color that may be in the whites as well. Note: try to use a mirror while sitting in the light from the window so as to get the true color showing in the sclera. Try this several times to get used to exposing each side of the sclera. Don't be in a hurry just take your time.
Now start to notice the red lines or blood vessels showing in various areas of the sclera. Remember the face of the clock. The eye picture above is of the left eye so you can see the 3 o'clock position. There are several red lines that are different shapes. Some squiggly, some are straight, some are very plane to see while others are thinner. Then you can see that there is some blue haze showing in the white part. Each of these type of lines & colors mean something. The blue haze indicates a possible calcium deficiency & anemia. The pink color, in the white behind the red lines, indicates a B vitamin deficiency. Putting just those pieces of information together we see that this person has anemia possibly from a B-12 deficiency. That is only a small part of what this part of the eye tells us about this persons health. There is a chart (Lower on this page to download) I put together to help a person gain understanding of all those lines & colors. Remember to picture the shape of a clock as you read the list of the areas being viewed in the mirror. Different areas of the body are indicated by the different areas of the eyes. For instance the 3 o'clock position showing in the eye above represents the thyroid part of the body. All of those red lines in that area indicates a thyroid stress in this person to go along with their anemia. Some other areas showing just above & below the 3 o'clock position indicate possible problems with the cough reflex, some issues in the upper back & lower neck, tonsils & sinus issues may also be happening.
You can, with practice, get very efficient at viewing the whites of the eyes & finding health issues you may not have expected. Have fun!

What do you believe?
Did you know that science can now show that it is your beliefs that controls how your life unfolds? If you believe you are going to have a bad day then the mind blocks out the "Good" stuff and you only see the "Bad Day" stuff.
Dr. Bruce Lipton, PhD demonstrates how our genes respond to our belief system. He shows that it is our beliefs that controls our lives, NOT our Genes.

Our brain only sees what our life filters allow us to see.
Our beliefs, life experience and so much more give us our lives. Life is filtered by our beliefs and we only see that which makes it through our filters.
